Raimundo Atal is a musician and environmentalist, currently living in New York City. He is a multi-instrumentalist with a focus on percussion and electronics. Producer and composer, he released his first solo album called "OTROS PRINCIPIOS" (Other principles / Other beginnings) under Gold Bolus Recordings in April 2025. Raimundo is a founding member of A.B.E.L.A., (Asociacion de Bateristas Electronicxs de Latinoamerika), an electronic drum collective of latinamerican percussionists in NYC. Raimundo plays drums with different groups. He was with Pinc Louds, an iconic NYC band. More recently, he has performed with La Lá, one of the most important figures in contemporary Latinamerican music. Raimundo also performs with Y No, an experimental music duo with Canto Engelhard and has composed music for at installations and theater. Raimundo is also an environmentalist, with a PhD in Sustainable Development from Columbia University. He currently holds a position as an economic fellow at the Institute for Policy Integrity at NYU School of Law, where he works on a diverse range topics in environmental economics and policy.
